Injection molding is used to make many things, such as spools, packaging, car dashboards, game consoles, pocket combs, some Musical Instruments (and parts thereof), one-piece chairs and small tables, mechanical parts (including gears). Injection molding is the most common modern method of manufacturing parts; It is ideal for producing large quantities of the same object. The material for the part is fed into a heated barrel, mixed, and forced into the mold cavity, where it cools and hardens into the cavity configuration. Once the product is designed, usually by an industrial designer or engineer, the mold is precisely machined by the mold maker (or tool maker) with metal (usually steel or aluminum) to form the features of the desired part. Injection molding is widely used to make various parts.
